My Mama

The Ultimate Creation

I seek thy universe, for its crowned beauty-
The shimmering droplets of the ocean,
And the lightening storm,
Dew-drops on roses at dawn,
And the sunset charm.
The dancing peacocks,
The flowers in bloom,
The rhythmic winds,
The innocent moon.
The beauty of Monalisa's smile,
The perfection of Cleopatrian style,
But all this beauty is just skin deep,
A feast for eyes, a desire to seek.
My search ends, with just one glimpse,
Of the perfidious icon of grace,
The most splendid creation, of 'em all-
My mother's tired and wrinkled face.
